| Student support
Student participants of UM2007 have a number of options for financial
support, as explained below. Additional sources for support are
being sought for students not covered by any of these options. Please,
note that students selected for support may be asked to spend some
fraction of their time onsite helping the organizing committee as
student volunteers. Applications for student support are going to
be accepted until Friday, March 16.
UM Inc.
UM Inc. will also support students. Priority will be given to authors
of papers in the Doctoral Consortium, the main conference or even
the Workshops. For more information please contact George

NSF
The United States National Science Foundation (NSF) is providing
travel support for students who are currently enrolled fulltime
at a US education institution. Preference will be given to students
who are authors of conference papers. If interested, please email
Kurt VanLehn your
(1) vita (2) roles in the conference (e.g., author, attendee, reviewer,
etc.) and (3) a description of your financial circumstances, and
in particular, whether your department or advisor can provide partial
support (e.g., matching funds).
Microsoft
Part of the Microsoft sponsorship for the conference will be used
to support students presenting a paper in the Doctoral Consortium.

PASCAL
The PASCAL Conference and Workshop Attendance Programme provides
support to students affiliated to PASCAL sites. For further information

EETN
The Hellenic AI society (EETN) will provide partial support to
2 student members of the EETN. For more information, please contact
Ilias Maglogiannis.
James Chen Awards
There will be 2 James Chen awards (USD 1000 each) for the best
student papers.
